Makea Coffee Pärinätön Decaf 220 g Coffee Beans

Makea Coffee Pärinätön is a decaffeinated coffee made from 100% Arabica coffee beans. It offers a smooth and balanced flavour without strong bitterness or acidity.

The flavour profile includes sweet fig and fresh rhubarb, with a juicy mouthfeel. This decaffeinated coffee is especially suited for filter brewing methods.

Processing

Castillo variety coffee cherries are first processed using the washed method. The beans are then decaffeinated using the Sugar Cane (EA) process, where naturally derived ethyl acetate from sugar cane removes the caffeine.

During the process, the beans are steamed and softened with hot water, then washed multiple times with ethyl acetate to remove caffeine. Finally, the coffee is dried and prepared for packaging.
