Comandante C40 MK4 Nitro Blade - the new version of one of the top coffee grinders in the world. The grinder offers a wide range of grinding adjustments, stable operation and a refined design using high quality materials.
The MK4 version includes several updates:
- New engine frame shape and material - more robust, with larger capacity and no more trapped beans!
- Each grinder comes with two jars: 1 x brown glass and 1 x clear polymer-glass. The latter is lightweight, durable, and can be used as a cup!
- Reworked packaging with improved protection.
The selection of the burr material is the proud result of dedicated research and development. The burrs are made of stainless steel reinforced with nitrogen. High-nitrogen martensitic steel is extremely difficult to work with, but when finished, it is tough, highly wear resistant and has a high degree of edge retention. The burrs allow for extremely smooth and even grinding.
The grinding coarseness is adjusted by turning a knob located below the burrs. The resulting ground coffee is even both when grinding for alternative methods and for espresso, which makes the Comandante unique compared to other manual coffee grinders. In addition, due to its physical and chemical properties, the burrs are neutral in terms of the effect on the taste of coffee.
The use of high quality materials in the design add to the reliability and comfort of use. The body of the grinder is made of stainless steel. The comfortable profiled handle has handgrip made of oak.

Great Grinder
O.A.The grinder performs very well, and the wood finish looks excellent. I only removed one star, because the wood finish is uneven and not perfectly round -- there is a noticeable lump that can be felt when held. I expect this is due to hand-finished natural materials, but I expected better quality control at this price. Nevertheless, it's only a cosmetic issue that doesn't impact performance.

Great grinder for many happy brews
P.B.I have tried a few grinders, both hand and electrical, for my home roasted beans as well as for some specialty coffee subscriptions (10+ years home roasting plus 5+ years coffee subscriptions), both filter and espresso. Comandante brings out a clear, bright result, without any bitterness. Easily the best grinder I have used up to now . Ground beans for: La Pavoni espresso lever machine, Bialetti Moka stovetop, Rancilio automatic espresso machine, V60 pour over, Kalita wave pour over.

AndyHuge upgrade comparing to my previous manual coffee grinder. Very nice mechanism, sharp metal burrs, constant grind size, easy to set settings.
Not sure if this is the fastest grinder but I wasn't chasing speed.

KL不可置信，購買Virginia Walnut跟Liquid Amber ，但我收到的顏色居然都是普通木頭色，而不是圖片上的灰色木紋。
Unbelievable, I bought Virginia Walnut and Liquid Amber, but the color I received was normal wood color, not the gray wood grain on the picture.

Hands down the best grinder
AGReally good and fast grinding for med-fine situations. Yes, espresso might take more time to grind than for example the Kinu M47 or 1Zpresso, but at least I should NOT change burrs like in Kinu in order to grind consistently med-fine..
I prefer it over my 1Zpresso J-Max grinder.

Not the right size for me
KarenI am very new in coffee making and wanted to invest in good tools, unfortunately the grinder size is too big and I am not able to grip it properly. I would put only small amount each time so that it takes less effort to grind.

V.H.Pitkän mietinnän jälkeen päätin hankkia Comandanten kahvimyllyn.
Olin kuullut myllystä pelkkää hyvää ja monet hifistelijät lähipiirissä sitä minulle suosittelivat.
Hinta oli suurin kynnyskysymys. Voisiko 300€ kahvimylly oikeasti olla niin paljon parempi kuin puolet halvempi? Onkohan hinnassa vain brändi lisää? Mistä nimi Comandante edes tulee?
Kysymyksiini löytyi vastaukset. Ja mitä enemmän perehdyin Comandanteen yrityksenä, sitä vähemmän mietin hintaa. Kuluttajana haluan tehdä sekä ekologisesti että eettisesti kestäviä valintoja, ja Comandante tarjosi minulle niitä molempia.
Paketin saapuessa oli hymyssä pidättelemistä. Pakkaus muistutti ulkonäöltään laadukasta sikariboksia sinetteineen, toki oli kooltaan huomattavasti isompi. Avaaminen oli tarkkaa ja hellävaraista työtä, sillä en halunnut rikkoa upeaa ulkokuorta. Kun sain laatikon auki, naurahdin ääneen. Sisältö oli todella vakuuttava. Kaikki tarkasti oikeilla paikoillaan, mylly kääritty kauniisti paperiin, tarroja, laatusertifikaatti, lasinen ja muovinen purkki, sekä postikortti jossa itse Comandante pitelee käsissään puita.
Mylly tuntuu hyvältä käsissä aidon puupinnan ansiosta. Nuppi ja veivi ovat loppuun asti viimeisteltyjä, ja istuvat kokonaisuuteen loistavasti. Kaikki on viimeisen päälle hienosti ja tarkasti tehtyä. Comandante-nimi kyljessä on huomattavasti hailakampi kuin tuotekuvassa, joka on minusta hyvä asia, tätähän voi melkein käyttää sisustuselementtinä. Veivin pyörii tyhjänä melkein itsestään, joka jostain syystä vakuutti minut.
Hetken hypisteltyäni laatikon sisältöä, ja nopeasti lukaistuani ohjekirjasen, oli aika keittää kahvi. Kaivoin esiin pidemmän aikaan daily driverina ollutta vaaleahkoa Brasilialaista Cachoeirinhaa Inka paahtimolta. Annoin myllyn olla tehdasasetuksilla 24 klikin kohdalla ja aloin veivaamaan. Tasainen rahina jatkui loppuun asti ja jauhaminen oli kevyttä. Katselin jauhettua kahvia ja se näytti hyvältä, sen enempää en siitä silmänmääräisesti osannut sanoa. Tykitin kahvin Aeropressiin ja uutin kahvin. Äkkiseltään totesin jauhatuksen olevan hieman liian hienoa omaan makuuni, kuppi muuten oli täyteläinen ja jauhatuksen tasalaatuisuuden huomasi suutuntumassa. Muutaman kokeilun jälkeen hyviä säätöjä alkoi löytyä erilaisille kahveille.
Hieno peli
M.J.Mylly toimii hyvin ja jauhaa tasalaatuisesti. Ehdottomasti hintansa arvoinen.

Henri KErinomainen päivitys entiseen Harion 50e myllyyn nähden. Tasajauhatuksen huomaa kahvin laadussa, nyt saan enemmän irti kahvihifistelyiltäni.
Commandanten paino yllätti aluksi mutta siihen tottuu pian.
Tuote tuntuu laadukkaalta ja kahvi jauhautuu nopeasti. Tämä on oiva lisä jokaisen kahvinautiskelijan keittiönkulmalle, jota on ilo katsella ja käyttää.
Mainio mylly
JuhoHankin tämän myllyn, koska halusin pieneen tilaan menevän käsikäyttöisen myllyn, jolla tekee kaikki jauhatukset aina pannukahvista turkkilaiseen kahviin. Todella laadukas mylly. Käyttöohjeet olivat englanniksi ja saksaksi ja näemmä jauhatusohjeet vain saksaksi. Niistä saa kyllä selvän ja kokeilemalla oppii.
loisto tuote
Minulla oli tuotteesta aika kovat odotukset sen hinnan takia, mutta silti yllätyin erittäin positiivisesti. Jauhatus on tasalaatuista kuten odotinkin, mutta suurin yllätys oli miten nopeaa ja helppoa jauhaminen tällä myllyllä on. Arvioisin että noin 5x nopeampaa kuin edellisellä halvalla myllyllä, ero on siis aivan huima.
Myllyn lasinen osa vähän epäilytti, mutta niitä saa ostettua erikseen, joten jos se sattuisi tippumaan lattialle ei ainakaan tarvitse kokonaan uutta myllyä hommata.

JPAivan loistava tuote kaikinpuolin. Näyttää ja tuntuu lisäksi kestävältä. Minulla on useita ammattimyllyjä sähköisinä, mutta tämä on ensimmäinen kunnollinen käsimylly.

F.M.Comandante C40 Mk40 maler med väldigt jämn och bra kvalité. Överträffade förväntningarna. Motståndet vid malning är lagom vid moka-malning och det går direkt lätt vid malning av tex french press. Att mala för mer än ett par koppar french press går lätt, medan moka är lagom med 3-4koppars malning åt gången. Instruktionensboken ger bra rekommendationer på inställning för olika malningsgrad. Inställningen sker på ett vred i botten med fasta klick och är lätt och intuitivt. Kvarnen känns väldigt gedigen men inte klumpig. Har man små händer kan diametern upplevas stor, men för mig ligger den fint i handen. Det medföljer både en glasburk och en polymerburk. Jag föredrar glasburken, då den i polymer har egenskapen att kaffet lätt fastnar på burkens sidor. På det hela, bra grejor helt enkelt.
